This house was designed by Denver firm Brown, Brokaw and Bowen for Joseph Coors, owner of the famous Colorado brewery. The Coors were likely one of the earlier prominent business owners who chose Aspen as a location for a second home as its status as an international ski resort was rising. The house has Chalet features in terms of the single, shallow pitched roof form that spans the structure, and detailing that is modern in character.
