311 North
While he primarily worked for the Aspen Skiing Company and the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies, Bayer designed a few residences in the West End neighborhood of Aspen. 311 North Street is a duplex with a split gable roof, strong eave line, and a carport. Wood materials and minimal window on the street façade are indicative of the Bauhaus International style which focused more on emphasizing volume and geometric shapes than on decoration.
