St. Moritz, built in 1954, is a chalet style lodge featuring a gable roof with deep overhangs supported by brackets, windows and shutters decorated with a traditional chalet motif, and colors consistent with the style (white stucco with dark colored wood siding.) In addition, the small lodge is a type of tourist accommodation that is very important to the social history of Aspen as a ski resort.
