In 1960, the Yellow Brick School at 215 N. Garmisch Street was constructed, based on the design by the Denver architectural firm of Wheeler & Lewis. A typical postwar school building—long, low, and horizontal, as in Miesian architecture—the classrooms have extensive bands of glazing and direct access to the outside.
